    Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How is this possible on a ColecoVision?

    Answer:

The cartridge used is not a simple ROM only type cartridge. It contains special hardware to make it possible.

    Question: What is ColecoVision+?

    Answer:

ColecoVision+ offers more RAM to games just like an ADAM and processes the audio data towards the standard SN76489 sound chip when a different sound chip is used. It is not a full replacement for an SGM, it just tries to act like one as close as possible.

Question: Does the ColecoVision Chameleon Cartridge come with games?

    Answer:

Yes. It comes with a number of games for the different systems that are considered to be public domain.

Question: Where can I find more games?

    Answer:

You can find more games to use with your ColecoVision Chameleon Cartridge all over the place. Here or here or here. You can also find lots of things at The Internet Archive by looking for SG-1000, ColecoVision, CreatiVision. Also don't forget to check out the the ADAM archive

Question: Game X for sytem Y does not work?

    Answer:

Technically, that is not a question. But sometimes a game you obtained will not work. Take into account that the max rom size for ColecoVision / ColecoVision+ is 128 kilobytes. Also there are sometimes different versions of a game file out there.
